We were given statistics about the current market of people who shop at the Harrisonburg farmers market as well as people who they want to better connect with in the future. For their Saturday market specifically it was, college students, men, and international folks who they wanted to start targeting.

"Local" gives people a good purpose to shop We waned to make something that would stay on theme with February and Valentine's day, a notably consumer driven was the perfect match. People would already be shopping for loved ones so our idea not only wanted to position the farmers market as the ideal place to purchase gifts, but also somewhere you could bring someone as a date.

We would make a in-person station at the farmers market. Where people could write who they shop local for on a paper heart and pin it up. This would be accompanied by a step by step post explaining the process as well as stories that highlight why vendors shop local as well as sharable stories to drive foot traffic to the farmers market.
